8 But you have turned aside from the way. ⁿYou have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted ^othe covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts,

12 Therefore say, ^s‘Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace, 13 and it shall be to him and to ^this descendants after him the covenant of ^ua perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

29 ^gRemember them, O my God, because they have desecrated the priesthood ^hand the covenant of the priesthood and the Levites.

45 ^v“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle. The Levites shall be mine: I am the Lord.
