Punishment for Disobedience

14 ^p“But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, 15 if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments, but ^qbreak my covenant,

7 ^oWe have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules ^pthat you commanded your servant Moses.

13 ^tBut the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. ^uThey did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; ^vand my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.

^t“Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them.

16 because they rejected my rules and did not walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; ^afor their heart went after their idols.

24 because they had not obeyed my rules, but had rejected my statutes and profaned my Sabbaths, ^uand their eyes were set on their fathers’ idols.

11 ^uAll Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, ^vrefusing to obey your voice. ^wAnd the curse and oath ^xthat are written in the Law of ^yMoses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because ^kwe have sinned against him.
