Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

23 And he said to all, If anyone would come after me, let him tdeny himself and utake up his cross vdaily and follow me. 24 For uwhoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.


Luke 10:42

42 but one thing is necessary.1 Mary has chosen fthe good portion, which will not be taken away from her.


John 13:5–9

Then he ypoured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, Lord, do you wash my feet? zJesus answered him, What I am doing ayou do not understand now, but afterward you will understand. bPeter said to him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, cIf I do not wash you, you have no share with me. Simon Peter said to him, Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!
