13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing ^yfall away.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that ^xin later times some will ^ydepart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^zdeceitful spirits and ^ateachings of ^bdemons,

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
