And plead us not into temptation.”
33 vSell your possessions, and wgive to the needy. xProvide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with ya treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 zFor where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
9 And I tell you, omake friends for yourselves by means of punrighteous wealth,1 so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
1 And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought ralways to pray and not slose heart.
32 but dI have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, estrengthen your brothers.”
40 rAnd when he came to sthe place, he said to them, t“Pray that you may not uenter into temptation.”
46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and apray that you may not enter into temptation.”
