60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

74 Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, ^u“Before the rooster crows, you will ^vdeny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, ^a“Before the rooster crows twice, you will ^bdeny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.¹

34 ^hJesus¹ said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow this day, until you deny three times that you know me.”

27 Peter again denied it, and ^pat once a rooster crowed.
