31 “Simon, Simon, behold, ^bSatan demanded to have you,^{1 c}that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but ^dI have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, ^estrengthen your brothers.”

16 In all circumstances take up ^uthe shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all ^vthe flaming darts of ^wthe evil one;

1 ^sChildren, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

4 “What are you to me, ^mO Tyre and Sidon, and all ⁿthe regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something? If you are paying me back, ^oI will return your payment on your own head swiftly and speedily. 5 For ^pyou have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my rich treasures into your temples.¹
