Jesus Rejoices in the Father’s Will

21 ^dIn that same hour ^ehe rejoiced ^fin the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, ^gLord of heaven and earth, that ^hyou have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and ⁱrevealed them to little children; yes, Father, for ^jsuch was your gracious will.¹

22 ^kAll things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is ^kexcept the Father, or who the Father is ^kexcept the Son and anyone ^lto whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

9 ⁱAnd call no man your father on earth, for ^jyou have one Father, who is in heaven.

For God So Loved the World

16 “For ^hGod so loved ⁱthe world,^{1 j}that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not ^kperish but have eternal life.

27 ^kDo not work for the food that perishes, but for ^lthe food that endures to eternal life, which ^mthe Son of Man will give to you. For on ⁿhim God the Father has ^oset his seal.”

Born Again to a Living Hope

3 ^gBlessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! ^hAccording to his great mercy, ⁱhe has caused us to be born again to a living hope ^jthrough the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

6 and made us ^ra kingdom, ^rpriests to ^shis God and Father, to him be ^tglory and ^udominion forever and ever. Amen.
