20  Look, O Lord, and see!

^zWith whom have you dealt thus?

^aShould women eat the fruit of their womb,

the children of ^btheir tender care?

Should ^cpriest and prophet be killed

in the sanctuary of the Lord?

31  ^xthe prophets prophesy falsely,

and the priests rule at their direction;

^ymy people love to have it so,

but what will you do when the end comes?

21  ^m“I did not send the prophets,

yet they ran;

I did not speak to them,

yet they prophesied.
