Have No Fear

4 “I tell you, my friends, ^ado not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.

12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they ^ywill kill me, but they will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”

2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, ^s“She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.

11 Abraham said, “I did it because I thought, ^z‘There is no fear of God at all in this place, and ^athey will kill me because of my wife.’

7 When the men of the place asked him about his wife, ^fhe said, “She is my sister,” for ^ghe feared to say, “My wife,” thinking, “lest the men of the place should kill me because of Rebekah,” because ^hshe was attractive in appearance.

42 Nevertheless, ^vmany even of the authorities believed in him, but ^wfor fear of the Pharisees they did not ^xconfess it, so that they would not be ^xput out of the synagogue; 43 ^yfor they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.
