21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins. And he shall yput them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.
40 “But if cthey confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they dcommitted against me, and also in walking contrary to me,
7 nhe shall confess his sin that he has committed.1 oAnd he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong.
The People Confess Their Sin
1 jWhile Ezra prayed and kmade confession, weeping and lcasting himself down mbefore the house of God, a very great assembly of men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly.
19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, vgive glory to the Lord God of Israel and wgive praise1 to him. And xtell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”
