The Death of Nadab and Abihu

1 Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each ^ttook his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered ^uunauthorized¹ fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them. 2 And ^vfire came out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

4 But ^eNadab and Abihu died before the Lord when they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests in the lifetime of Aaron their father.

61 But ^pNadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord.
