The Death of Nadab and Abihu

1 Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each ^ttook his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered ^uunauthorized¹ fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them.

12 And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from the altar before the Lord, and two handfuls of sweet incense ^gbeaten small, and he shall bring it inside the veil 13 and put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat ^hthat is over the testimony, so that he does not die.

46 And Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer, and put fire on it from off the altar and lay incense on it and carry it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the Lord; the ^pplague has begun.”
