8 And I will make this city a horror, a thing to be hissed at. pEveryone who passes by it will be horrified and will hiss because of all its wounds.
9 behold, I will send for sall the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, tmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, and make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.
11 This whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon vseventy years.
18 Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day;
13 For I have sworn by myself, declares the Lord, that Bozrah shall become a horror, a taunt, a waste, and a curse, and all her cities shall be qperpetual wastes.”
17 “Edom shall become a horror. sEveryone who passes by it will be horrified and will hiss because of all its disasters.
13 Because of the wrath of the Lord she shall not be inhabited
but shall be an utter desolation;
zeveryone who passes by Babylon shall be appalled,
and hiss because of all her wounds.
37 and Babylon shall become a gheap of ruins,
the haunt of hjackals,
a horror and a hissing,
without inhabitant.
8 Therefore the wrath of the Lord came on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has made them an object of ehorror, of astonishment, and of hissing, as you see with your own eyes.
