12 So now give me this hill country of which the Lord spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the bAnakim were there, with great fortified cities. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.”
12 And xthe angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, y“The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.”
14 And the Lord1 turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; bdo not I send you?”
16 With the mighty deeds of the Lord God I will come;
I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone.
17 hAnd the effect of righteousness will be peace,
and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust1 forever.
12 For jwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against kthe rulers, against the authorities, against lthe cosmic powers over mthis present darkness, against nthe spiritual forces of evil oin the heavenly places. 13 Therefore ptake up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in qthe evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, rhaving fastened on the belt of truth, and shaving put on the breastplate of righteousness,
5 Keep your life afree from love of money, and bbe content with what you have, for he has said, c“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say,
d“The Lord is my helper;
eI will not fear;
what can man do to me?”
