23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel ^qaccording to their tribal allotments. ^rAnd the land had rest from war.

11 So the land had ^qrest for forty years. Then Othniel the son of Kenaz died.

6 He built ^dfortified cities in Judah, for the land had ^erest. He had no war in those years, for the Lord gave him peace.
