The Truth Will Set You Free
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, c“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,
27 But qthe anointing that you received from him abides in you, and ryou have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and sis true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
Children of God
28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that twhen he appears uwe may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his vcoming.
9 sNo one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s1 seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.
18 We know that neveryone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but ohe who was born of God pprotects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 eThey went out from us, but they were not of us; for fif they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, gthat it might become plain that they all are not of us.
18 pI am not speaking of all of you; I know qwhom I have chosen. But rthe Scripture will be fulfilled,1 s‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’
20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately oreceives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but pendures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately qhe falls away.1
66 fAfter this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67 So Jesus said to gthe twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have hthe words of eternal life, 69 and iwe have believed, and have come to know, that jyou are kthe Holy One of God.”
9 Yet the righteous holds to his way,
and he who has sclean hands grows stronger and stronger.
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together hfor good,1 for ithose who are called according to his purpose.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, kO you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For lthe Gentiles seek after all these things, and myour heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But nseek first othe kingdom of God and his righteousness, pand all these things will be added to you.
40 cI will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. dAnd I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.
3 He will not zlet your foot be moved;
he who akeeps you will not slumber.
11 rFor he will command his sangels concerning you
to tguard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you ustrike your foot against a stone.
6 And I am sure of this, that he who began ha good work in you iwill bring it to completion at jthe day of Jesus Christ.
13 for hit is God who works in you, both to will and to work for ihis good pleasure.
25 to ithe only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, jbe glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time1 and now and forever. Amen.
14 Are they not all ministering spirits ysent out to serve for the sake of those who are to zinherit salvation?
16 He said, “Do not be afraid, qfor those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
5 Keep your life afree from love of money, and bbe content with what you have, for he has said, c“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for che who is in you is greater than dhe who is in the world.
