The Authority of the Son

19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, ^tthe Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For ^uwhatever the Father¹ does, that the Son does likewise.

28 So Jesus said to them, “When you have ^hlifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that ⁱI do nothing on my own authority, but speak ^jjust as the Father taught me.

10 Do you not believe that ^jI am in the Father and the Father is in me? ^kThe words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
