For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world,1 wthat he gave his only xSon, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not ysend his Son into the world zto condemn the world, but ain order that the world might be saved through him.
23 dFor the wages of sin is death, but the efree gift of God is eternal flife in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 For I wdelivered to you as of first importance xwhat I also received: that yChrist died for our sins zin accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was aburied, that he was raised on the bthird day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he cappeared to Cephas, then dto the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
Christ Our Advocate
1 My little children, sI am writing these things to you tso that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an uadvocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the vpropitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
