Behold, the Lamb of God

29 ^pThe next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, ^qthe Lamb of God, who ^rtakes away the sin of the world!

4 who ^fgave himself ^gfor our sins to deliver us from the ^hpresent evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

1 For ^uevery high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices ^vfor sins.

3 Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice ^yfor his own sins just as he does for those of the people.

24 ^fHe himself bore our sins in his body on the ^gtree, that we might ^hdie to sin and ⁱlive to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
