14 I am the good shepherd. ^uI know my own and my own know me, 15 just as ^vthe Father knows me and ^wI know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

15 No longer do I call you servants,¹ for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for ^lall that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

3 And this is eternal life, that they ^sknow you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
