13  “God will not turn back his anger;

beneath him bowed the helpers of ^vRahab.

12  ^yBy his power he stilled the sea;

by his understanding he shattered ^zRahab.

4  Among those who know me I mention ^qRahab and Babylon;

behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush¹—

“This one was born there,” they say.

10  You crushed ^kRahab like a carcass;

you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

9  ^pAwake, awake, put on strength,

O arm of the Lord;

awake, as in days of old,

the generations of long ago.

Was it not you who cut ^qRahab in pieces,

who pierced the dragon?
