24  For my sighing comes ^cinstead of¹ my bread,

and my groanings are poured out like water.

3  ^vMy tears have been my food

day and night,

while they ^wsay to me all the day long,

^x“Where is your God?”

5  ^cYou have fed them with the bread of tears

and given them ^dtears to drink in full measure.
