Job 23:10

10  But he yknows zthe way that I atake;

when he has btried me, I shall come out as gold.

2 Timothy 2:19–21

19 But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: gThe Lord knows those who are his, and, Let everyone hwho names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

20 Now in ia great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, jsome for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, kif anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable,1 he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, lready for every good work.


Malachi 3:3

He will sit nas a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring oofferings in righteousness to the Lord.1


Zechariah 13:9

And tI will put this third into the fire,

and refine them as one refines silver,

and test them as gold is tested.

uThey will call upon my name,

and vI will answer them.

wI will say, They are my people;

and they will say, The Lord is my God.
