18 And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the Lord and said, w“You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”
6 Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these puncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, qfor nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
26 And David said to the men who stood by him, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away wthe reproach from Israel? For who is this xuncircumcised Philistine, that he should udefy the armies of ythe living God?”
36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, efor he has defied the armies of the living God.”
4 zThen Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these auncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, bfor he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword cand fell upon it.
20 sTell it not in Gath,
tpublish it not in the streets of Ashkelon,
ulest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice,
lest the daughters of vthe uncircumcised exult.
