28 “For this the earth shall amourn,
and the heavens above be dark;
for I have spoken; I have purposed;
I have not relented, bnor will I turn back.”
6 You have rejected me, declares the Lord;
you keep going obackward,
so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—
I am weary of relenting.
8 and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will vrelent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.
10 and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, xthen I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.
3 oIt may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may prelent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds.
13 Now therefore wmend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the Lord your God, and the Lord will xrelent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you.
19 aDid Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Did he not fear the Lord and entreat the favor of the Lord, and did not the Lord relent of the disaster that he had pronounced against them? But we are about to bring great disaster upon ourselves.”
