9 ^oHe who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out and surrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you shall live and shall ^phave his life as a prize of war.

2 “Thus says the Lord: ^aHe who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. He shall ^bhave his life as a prize of war, and live.

5 And do you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not, for behold, I am bringing disaster upon all flesh, declares the Lord. But I will give you your life ⁱas a prize of war in all places to which you may go.”
