15 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although ^wI did not send them, and who say, ^t‘Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: ^zBy sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ^w“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

4 And ^pno one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, ^qjust as Aaron was.

28 And ^sGod has appointed in the church first ^tapostles, second ^uprophets, third teachers, then ^vmiracles, then ^wgifts of healing, ^xhelping, ^yadministrating, and ^vvarious kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

10 And ⁿlet them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless.

14 ^uDo not neglect the gift you have, which was given you ^vby prophecy when the council of elders ^wlaid their hands on you.

22 ⁱDo not be hasty in the ^jlaying on of hands, nor ^ktake part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.
