5  If you will seek God

and ^gplead with the Almighty for mercy,

5  Behold, like wild donkeys in the desert

the poor^{1 s}go out to their toil, ^tseeking game;

the wasteland yields food for their children.

28  ^mThen they will call upon me, but I will not answer;

they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
