Job 5:14; Job 12:25; Isaiah 59:10; Zephaniah 1:17; 1 John 2:9–11
14 They meet with darkness in the daytime
and hgrope at noonday as in the night.
25 They agrope in the dark without light,
and he makes them bstagger like a drunken man.
10 kWe grope for the wall like the blind;
we grope like those who have no eyes;
we stumble at noon as in the twilight,
lamong those in full vigor we are like dead men.
17 kI will bring distress on mankind,
so that they shall walk llike the blind,
because they have sinned against the Lord;
mtheir blood shall be poured out like dust,
and their flesh nlike dung.
9 Whoever says he is in the light and ohates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him1 there is no pcause for stumbling. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and qwalks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
