Job 5:11; Psalm 75:7; Psalm 107:40–41; Psalm 113:7–8; Psalm 147:6; Ezekiel 21:26; James 4:10

11  he esets on high those who are lowly,

and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

but it is uGod who executes judgment,

vputting down one and lifting up another.

40  hhe pours contempt on princes

and imakes them wander jin trackless wastes;

41  but khe raises up the needy out of affliction

and lmakes their families like flocks.

He mraises the poor from the dust

and lifts the needy from the ash heap,

to make them nsit with princes,

with the princes of his people.

The Lord vlifts up the humble;1

he casts the wicked to the ground.

26 thus says the Lord God: Remove the turban and take off the crown. Things shall not remain as they are. jExalt that which is low, and bring low that which is exalted.

10 lHumble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
