Job 38:8-11; Psalm 33:7; Psalm 136:6; Jeremiah 5:22; 2 Peter 3:5

Or who yshut in the sea with doors

when it burst out from the womb,

when I made clouds its garment

and zthick darkness its swaddling band,

10  and prescribed alimits for it

and set bars and doors,

11  and said, Thus far shall you come, and no farther,

and here shall your bproud waves be stayed?

He gathers the waters of the sea as sa heap;

he tputs the deeps in storehouses.

to him who cspread out the earth dabove the waters,

for his steadfast love endures forever;

22  kDo you not fear me? declares the Lord.

Do you not tremble before me?

I placed the sand las the boundary for the sea,

a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass;

though the waves toss, they cannot prevail;

though mthey roar, they cannot pass over it.

For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth nwas formed out of water and through water oby the word of God,
