Job 22:2–3

aCan a man be profitable to God?

Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are in the right,

or is it gain to him if you bmake your ways blameless?


Proverbs 9:12

12  sIf you are wise, you are wise for yourself;

if you scoff, you alone will bear it.


Luke 17:10

10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, We are iunworthy servants;1 we have only done what was our duty.
