2  ^{1 w}The people who walked in darkness

have seen a great light;

those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,

on them has light shone.

19  ^qYour dead shall live; their bodies shall rise.

You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy!

For your dew is a dew of light,

and the earth will give birth to the dead.

1  ^wArise, shine, for your light has come,

and the glory of the Lord has ^xrisen upon you.
