2 Why is your apparel red,
and your garments like his who treads in the ewinepress?
3 “I have trodden the winepress alone,
and from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood1 spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
15 “The Lord rejected
all my mighty men in my midst;
he summoned an assembly against me
to crush my young men;
the Lord has trodden as in a winepress
the virgin daughter of Judah.
13 Put in the sickle,
for the xharvest is ripe.
Go in, tread,
for the ywinepress is full.
The vats overflow,
for their evil is great.
20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia.1
15 aFrom his mouth comes a sharp sword bwith which to strike down the nations, and che will rule1 them dwith a rod of iron. He will etread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
