Israel’s Irresponsible Leaders
9 jAll you beasts of the field, come to devour—
all you beasts in the forest.
9 Is amy heritage to me like ca hyena’s lair?
Are the cbirds of prey against her all around?
Go, dassemble all the wild beasts;
bring them to devour.
26 And xyour dead body shall be food for all birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth, and ythere shall be no one to frighten them away.
6 vThey shall all of them be left
to the birds of prey of the mountains
and to the beasts of the earth.
And the birds of prey will summer on them,
and all the beasts of the earth will winter on them.
5 sAnd I will cast you out into the wilderness,
you and all the fish of your streams;
you shall fall ton the open field,
and unot be brought together or gathered.
To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens
sI give you as food.
17 “As for you, zson of man, thus says the Lord God: aSpeak to bthe birds of every sort and to ball beasts of the field: ‘Assemble and come, gather from all around to cthe sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to aall the birds that fly directly overhead, b“Come, gather for cthe great supper of God, 18 dto eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave,1 both small and great.”
