Isaiah 54:5–8

nFor your Maker is your husband,

the Lord of hosts is his name;

oand the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,

pthe God of the whole earth he is called.

qFor the Lord has called you

like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit,

like a wife of youth when she is cast off,

says your God.

rFor a brief moment I deserted you,

but with great compassion I will gather you.

rIn overflowing anger for a moment

I hid my face from you,

sbut with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,

says the Lord, your Redeemer.

Ephesians 5:25–27

25 gHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and hgave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ithe washing of water jwith the word, 27 so kthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, lwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.1

Revelation 19:7–8

Let us rejoice and exult

and give him the glory,

for athe marriage of the Lamb has come,

and bhis Bride has made herself ready;

cit was granted her to clothe herself

with fine linen, bright and pure

for the fine linen is dthe righteous deeds of the saints.
