Isaiah 53:10–12

10  Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;

he has put him to grief;1

when his soul makes2 an offering for guilt,

he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;

the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11  Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see3 and be satisfied;

by his knowledge shall the righteous one, hmy servant,

imake many to be accounted righteous,

and he shall jbear their iniquities.

12  Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,4

and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,5

because he poured out his soul to death

kand was numbered lwith the transgressors;

yet he mbore the sin of many,

and makes intercession for the transgressors.

Romans 6:23

23 dFor the wages of sin is death, but the efree gift of God is eternal flife in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:9–11

9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the ewrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were freconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also grejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

1 John 4:8–10

8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 zIn this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the apropitiation for our sins.
