14 The sinners in Zion are afraid;
trembling has seized the godless:
y“Who among us can dwell zwith the consuming fire?
Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
11 “I overthrew some of you,
das when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
and you were eas a brand1 plucked out of the burning;
uyet you did not return to me,”
declares the Lord.
6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to lZerubbabel: mNot by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
23 dFor the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
9 Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us nrely not on ourselves obut on God pwho raises the dead. 10 qHe delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. rOn him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

11 Therefore, knowing ythe fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But zwhat we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.
