27  Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge,

nor is a cart wheel rolled over cumin,

but dill is beaten out with a stick,

and cumin with a rod.

15  Behold, I make of you a ^pthreshing sledge,

new, sharp, and having teeth;

you shall thresh the mountains and crush them,

and you shall make the hills like chaff;

“For ^jthree transgressions of Damascus,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,¹

because they have threshed Gilead

with threshing sledges of iron.
