Isaiah 22:4

4  Therefore I said:

“Look away from me;

let me weep bitter tears;

do not labor to comfort me

cconcerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”

Luke 13:34–35

34 qO Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that rkills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a shen gathers her brood under her wings, and tyou were not willing! 35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, u‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

Luke 23:28–31

28 But turning to them Jesus said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but nweep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, o‘Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ 30 Then they will begin to psay to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ 31 For if they do these things when the wood is qgreen, what will happen when it is dry?”
