2 And the peoples will take them and ubring them to their place, and the house of Israel will vpossess them in the Lord’s land as male and female slaves.1 They will take captive those who were their captors, and rule over those who oppressed them.
O Lord, Be Gracious to Us
1 Ah, you udestroyer,
who yourself have not been destroyed,
you traitor,
whom none has betrayed!
When you have ceased to destroy,
you will be destroyed;
and when you have finished betraying,
they will betray you.
10 so that they will not need to take wood out of the field or cut down any out of the forests, for they will make their fires of the weapons. They will seize the spoil of those who despoiled them, and plunder those who plundered them, declares the Lord God.
8 For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me1 to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the xapple of his eye: 9 “Behold, I will yshake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that zthe Lord of hosts has sent me.
