6 For ato us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon1 his shoulder,
and his name shall be called2
bWonderful Counselor, cMighty God,
Everlasting dFather, Prince of ePeace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
fthere will be no end,
on the gthrone of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with hjustice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
iThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
10 lI will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
and the war horse from Jerusalem;
and mthe battle bow shall be cut off,
and he shall speak npeace to the nations;
ohis rule shall be from sea to sea,
and from the River1 to the ends of the earth.
27 gPeace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. hLet not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
36 As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is tLord of all),
Peace with God Through Faith
1 Therefore, since we have been sjustified by faith, we1 have tpeace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
14 For he himself is our fpeace, who has made us both gone and has broken down hin his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 iby abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might jreconcile us both to God kin one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and lpreached mpeace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
20 and through him lto reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, mmaking peace by the blood of his cross.
Benediction
16 Now may the Lord of peace himself ngive you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
