9  Therefore justice is far from us,

and righteousness does not overtake us;

^jwe hope for light, and behold, darkness,

and for brightness, but we walk in gloom.

13  ^cI bring near my righteousness; it is not far off,

and my salvation will not delay;

^dI will put salvation in Zion,

for Israel my glory.”

56  Thus says the Lord:

“Keep justice, and do righteousness,

^wfor soon my salvation will come,

and my righteousness be revealed.
