6 “I am the Lord; I have called you1 in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
iI will give you as a covenant for the people,
a jlight for the nations,
6 he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
nI will make you as a olight for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
4 “Give attention to me, my people,
and give ear to me, my nation;
for ia law1 will go out from me,
and I will set my justice for a jlight to the peoples.
3 yAnd nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
I Am the Light of the World
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, h“I am the ilight of the world. Whoever follows me will not jwalk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
47 For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
i“‘I have made you ja light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the kends of the earth.’”
23 that the Christ must suffer and that, by being uthe first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim vlight both to our people and to the Gentiles.”
24 vBy its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it,
