The Lord’s Chosen Servant
1 bBehold cmy dservant, whom I uphold,
emy chosen, fin whom my soul delights;
gI have put my Spirit upon him;
he will bring forth justice to the nations.
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
1 uThe Spirit of the Lord God is vupon me,
because the Lord has wanointed me
to bring xgood news to the poor;1
he has sent me to ybind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, tthe heavens were opened to him,1 and he saw the uSpirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him;
10 And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw jthe heavens being ktorn open and the Spirit descending lon him like a dove.
22 and the fHoly Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, g“You are my hbeloved Son;1 iwith you I am well pleased.”2
18 c“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim dgood news to the poor.
He has esent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
fto set at liberty those who are oppressed,
32 And John tbore witness: u“I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize vwith water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes wwith the Holy Spirit.’
