4 zAll the host of heaven shall rot away,
and the skies roll up like a scroll.
All their host shall fall,
as leaves fall from the vine,
like leaves falling from the fig tree.
6 nLift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look at the earth beneath;
ofor the heavens vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment,
and they who dwell in it will die in like manner;1
pbut my salvation will be forever,
and my righteousness will never be dismayed.
35 eHeaven and earth will pass away, but fmy words will not pass away.
7 But by the same word rthe heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and sdestruction of the ungodly.
10 But zthe day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then athe heavens will pass away with a roar, and bthe heavenly bodies1 will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.2
12 dwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ethe heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
Judgment Before the Great White Throne
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence oearth and sky fled away, and pno place was found for them.
The New Heaven and the New Earth
1 Then I saw ya new heaven and a new earth, for zthe first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
11 they will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment,
12 like a robe you will roll them up,
like a garment they will be changed.1
But you are vthe same,
and your years will have no end.”
