16  And there will be a ^thighway from Assyria

for the remnant that remains of his people,

as there was for Israel

when they came up from the land of Egypt.

8  And a ^dhighway shall be there,

and it shall be called the Way of Holiness;

^ethe unclean shall not pass over it.

It shall belong to those who walk on the way;

even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.¹

10  Go through, go through the gates;

^wprepare the way for the people;

build up, build up the ^xhighway;

clear it of stones;

^ylift up a signal over the peoples.
