The Wickedness of Judah
2 gHear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth;
for the Lord has spoken:
h“Children1 have I reared and brought up,
but they have rebelled against me.
6 I will say to the north, Give up,
and to the south, Do not withhold;
abring my sons from afar
band my daughters from the end of the earth,
10 1 lYet the number of the children of Israel shall be mlike the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. nAnd in the place where it was said to them, “You are not my people,” it shall be said to them, o“Children2 of the living God.”
9 “Blessed are the mpeacemakers, for they shall be ncalled sons1 of God.
12 But to all who did receive him, twho believed uin his name, he gave the right to become vchildren of God,
14 For all who are zled by the Spirit of God are sons1 of God.
18 and oI will be a father to you,
and you shall be psons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”
26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a ycrooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as zlights in the world,
1 See what kind of hlove the Father has given to us, that we should be called ichildren of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that jit did not know him.
