Hosea 2:7; Hosea 2:16; Jeremiah 3:14–15; 2 Corinthians 11:2

She shall pursue her lovers

but not overtake them,

and she shall seek them

but shall not find them.

lThen she shall say,

I will go and return to mmy first husband,

lfor it was better for me then than now.

16 And hin that day, declares the Lord, you will call me My Husband, and no longer will you call me My Baal.

14  eReturn, O faithless children,

declares the Lord;

ffor I am your master;

I will take you, one from a city and two from a family,

and I will bring you to Zion.

15 And gI will give you shepherds after my own heart, hwho will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since nI betrothed you to one husband, oto present you pas a pure virgin to Christ.
